Graduate Assistant

Graduate Assistant: Teaching, Research and Administrative Insurance

Graduate Students are required to obtain adequate health insurance according to the guidelines described for Domestic and International students. Graduate Students with an active Graduate Assistantship job assignment in Workday (Graduate Assistant: Teaching, Research or Administrative) and who are  eligible for the Graduate School subsidy can pay for the remaining portion of the insurance via payroll deduction by requesting the subsidy on the Student tab in Canelink. If the Graduate Health Insurance Subsidy does not appear on your CaneLink screen, please contact your academic department. ONLY your academic department can grant eligibility for the subsidy. For your insurance to become effective, you must either pay the insurance charge and all other charges on your account, or elect the subsidy and pay other remaining charges.

Canelink Enrollment Period: August 1st - October 15th

If you are eligible for the subsidy and will be graduating in the Fall semester, you will be responsible for the Spring Summer premium and must notify the Student Health Service at when you are leaving the University.  If you do not make arrangements for payment, the remaining charge will be added to you student account.
