Sexual Assault Resources

The Student Health Service recognizes the impact sexual assault has on individual students and the campus environment. We work to prevent and respond to incidences of sexual assault by collaborating with campus partners and community services, such as the University of Miami Police, Title IX officer, Counseling Center, Dean of Students Office, and Residential Life.

NOTE: We cannot perform a rape examination to collect evidence. If your initial intention is to forego rape examination at a rape treatment center, an examination at Student Health Service will undermine evidence collected at a future date. Even if your initial intention is not to pursue action against your assailant, it is best to go to the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center where proper examination and treatment can be initiated and evidence collected for possible use in the future.

To reach the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center dial 305-585-5185; or the Sexual Assault Hotline at Jackson Memorial Hospital: 305-585-RAPE (7273).

Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center is located at 1611 NW 12th Ave, Miami, FL 33136. Click on the map below for driving directions.

To reach the Student Health Service dial 305-284-9100. Please Note: The Student Health Service has the obligation to report sexual assault of minors to the Department of Children and Family Services.

The Sexual Assault Resource Team (SART) is a 24/7 anonymous hotline for University of Miami students who have been sexually assaulted, battered or molested. The SART hotline is administered by the University of Miami Counseling Center and staffed by trained volunteers.
