Dependents and Spouses

For those who have an active policy with Aetna, coverage for spouses and dependents is available via aetnastudenthealth.com. Dependents and spouses must be enrolled within 14 days of the policy start date. Students have the option of enrolling their newborn within 31 days of birth. Students adopting a child also have 31 days from the date of adoption to enroll. Enrollment must be for the same coverage period as that of the student.

Note: Domestic partners are not eligible for enrollment, and dependents/spouses are not eligible for patient care at the Student Health Service.

Spouses and dependents are encouraged to establish care with a UHealth or other Aetna Healthcare participating primary care provider.

Please Note: The portal to enroll dependents will open for Medical Students starting the week of June 10th. Dependent enrollment closes on June 30th.
