Through participation in the Student Health Plan, you are eligible for global emergency medical assistance services when traveling 100 miles or more from your principal residence. Services are provided by Global Medical Management.
Services include evacuation, repatriation, and the return of mortal remains. Once you are ready to be released from the hospital, Global Medical Management will make arrangements to transport you to your residence or rehabilitation facility, with medical supervision, if necessary. More detailed information regarding this service can be obtained from Global Medical Management at 1-800-898-3344.
Global Medical Management is not a travel or medical insurance, but a service provider for emergency medical assistance services. All medical costs incurred are subject to the policy limits of your health coverage.

Please keep in mind, should you need medical care while abroad, payment may be required at the time of service. Please keep all invoices and receipts to allow you to submit for reimbursement of any eligible expenses upon your return. You may also wish to purchase additional travel insurance for services not provided by this plan.
Students with other adequate insurance coverage who need the additional benefits of medical evacuation and repatriation coverage can purchase this coverage separately.
