• Overview of Zika
    • Zika is spread through a mosquito bite but the Aedes Zika can also be passed from mother to child during fetal development and can be also be passed through sexual intercourse. Symptoms of Zika include fever, rash, joint pain, muscle ache, and red eyes. Currently, there are no vaccines or current medicine to treat Zika. However, there are many ways you can prevent Zika. It is recommended that you wear long sleeved clothing to cover your whole body, wear insect repelling with active ingredients such as DEET and picaridin, use condoms when having sexual intercourse, and avoid identified areas infected with Zika.
