• Overview of Tuberculosis
    • Tuberculosis, known as TB, is a bacterial infection caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This infection leads to an attack on the lungs or any other area of the body including the brain. TB is usually spread through air contact from person to person. Symptoms include a bad cough that lasts 3 weeks or longer, pain the in the chest, fatigue, weight loss, and fever. However, treatment can be prescribed by a physician. If you are experiencing symptoms, contact your physician or make an appointment at the Student Health Services here.
