• Overview of Shingles
    • Shingles, known as zoster or herpes zoster, is a rash that is developed on one side of the body. This rash can be painful and itchy. Additionally, other symptoms such as fever, headache, and upset stomach may occur with shingles. However, shingles can be treated with prescribed antiviral medication. It is also recommended by the CDC that individuals over the age of 60 years receive a dose of the shingles vaccine. If you are experiencing symptoms, contact your physician or make an appointment at the Student Health Services here.
