Scabies

Scabies
  • Overview of Scabies
    • Scabies are caused by an itch mite, Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis, that burrows into an individual’s skin to lay eggs. Symptoms of scabies include intense itching and a pimple-like rash. Scabies can be spread rapidly through person to person contact. However, scabies can be treated with prescription medication. If you have any questions about treatment, contact your physician or make an appointment at the Student Health Services here.
