Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis
  • Overview of Plantar Fasciitis
    • Plantar fasciitis is caused by the inflammation of the plantar fascia on the bottom of the foot due to being overstretched or overused. This can cause walking to be painful and difficult. You may be more likely to get plantar fasciitis if you have foot arch problems, run long distances, are obese, and wear shoes with poor arch support. If you are experiencing severe symptoms, contact your physician or make an appointment at the Student Health Services here.
