• Overview of Opiates
    • Opiates, often called narcotics, are a type of drug used to treat pain after a major injury or surgery. Side effects of opiate use include drowsiness, mental fog, constipation, and addiction. In order to prevent health problems with opiate use, follow your physician’s instructions, and do not share your medicine with anyone else. If you have concerns about opiate use, contact your physician or make an appointment at the Student Health Services here.
