Genital Warts
  • Overview of Genital Warts
    • Genital warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and appear to be soft, moist, flesh-colored bumps. In women, genital warts usually appear around the vagina, the cervix, or around the anus, and in men, the warts may appear at the tip of the penis. You may get genital warms during sexual intercourse (oral, vaginal, or anal). However, correct usage of condoms and getting the HPV vaccination can reduce your risk of getting genital warts. If you are experiencing symptoms, contact your physician or make an appointment at the Student Health Services here.
