• Overview of Flu
    • The flu or influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can spread from person contact or contact with any surface that has the flu virus on it. Symptoms of the flu include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle aches, headaches, and fatigue. To prevent the flu, the CDC recommends to get the flu vaccination each year. Additionally, you can use preventative actions like staying away from people who are sick, washing your hands frequently, and covering your coughs. If you have questions about the flu shot, contact your physician or make an appointment at the Student Health Services here.
