Cardiovascular Disease
  • Overview of Cardiovascular Disease
    • Often used as a broad term, cardiovascular disease stems from problems of the heart and associated blood vessels. Often times, cardiovascular disease is caused by atherosclerosis (link atherosclerosis), which can lead to heart attack or stroke. Medical conditions such as diabetes, obesity, poor diet, physical inactivity, and excessive alcohol use can put you at higher risk for cardiovascular disease. Contact your physician or make an appointment at the Student Health Services here to learn about how you can prevent cardiovascular disease.
