  • Overview of Alcohol Dependence
    • Alcohol is depressant contains intoxicating ingredients such as ethanol which is found in liquids such as beer, wine, and liquor. These ingredients have the ability to make rational decisions, motor function, and response time. However, the degree of intensity to which it affects an individual depends on various factors such as age, gender, race, physical condition, etc.
    • Alcohol dependence (known as alcohol addiction or alcoholism) is a chronic disease that causes a strong craving for alcohol and inability to limit drinking.
